Inspired by the traditional materials linked to anniversaries, we’ve got crafty with these decorated flute glasses.

Final Result

Materials

• 2 x champagne flutes
• Vitrail paint pen - red
• Silver & ruby coloured ribbons
• 50mm wooden numbers - 4 & 0
• acrylic paint
• paint brush
• gloss spray

Step 1

Paint numbers on both sides. When dry, spray with gloss and put aside to dry. Wash and dry glasses thoroughly. Using vitrail paint pen and starting at the top edge of glass, slowly draw a spiral around glass, decreasing the space between the spirals as you go down towards the stem. Allow to dry.

If a thicker line is desired, go over first line to make it look thicker. Bake glass as per manufacturer’s instructions. Tie a length of ribbon around top of each painted number and tie one number to the stem on each glass. Tie extra co-ordinating ribbons in a bow on the stem at the base of each glass.
