'Family' album

Materials

• chipboard word album kit - ‘FAMILY’
• scrapbook paper (Kimberly Poloson Cabana Blooms)
• co-ordinating ribbons
• 2 x heart shaped buttons
• paint (Folk Art- #726 Green Meadow)
• paint brush
• gloss spray
• pencil
• craft knife, cutting mat & ruler
• hole punch
• scissors
• craft glue

Step 1

Paint both front and back covers of album with green paint. Let dry. Apply second coat of paint if necessary. Let dry.

Step 2

Using the front cover as a template cut a piece of scrapbook paper the same size. Place front cover over cut paper and using a pencil mark the placement of 3 holes. Punch out holes at one end of scrapbook paper using the hole punch.

Step 3

Stack album together with front cover on top and scrapbook paper underneath, then album pages and finish with back cover. Bind album together using the rings provided with kit. Cut and tie co-ordinating ribbons to rings. Trim ribbon ends on an angle. Glue heart buttons to front bottom right corner with craft glue.

Step 4

Optional:
Cut a 5cm diameter circle from scrapbook paper. Cut in half and use as tabs on the pages of albums. Attach with double-sided tape. Cut short lengths of ribbon and attach
as tabs too. Add journalling details for the ‘Family Tree’.
