Felt covered pencil caddy

- When you’re writing all day you need to have your pencils handy... and they have to be stored in a cool place!

- Materials
- • clean food tin
• felt square
• pompom
• thread - yellow & black
• needle & scissors
• craft glue - Step 1
- To remove any dirt or grease wash tin in warm soapy water, leave to dry. Measure the height of the tin and around the outside then cut the felt the same height and width.

- Step 2
- Using the yellow thread sew the two edges together with blanket stitch. Then sew around the top and bottom edges of the felt.

- Step 3
- Using the black thread sew stripes across the pompom then glue it to the felt. Sew on two antennae at the head and use running stitch to show the bee’s trail. Slip the felt over your tin and it’s ready for use.

- Handy Hint
- Instead of blanket stitch you could use running stitch.
