- Materials
- • canvas
• photocopies of found images, text, and design elements
• printed tissue paper
• white tissue paper
• Kaiser clear sealer
• Jo Sonja paints yellow light, green light, aqua, pthalo green, red violet, transparent
magenta, warm white
• palette, brushes
• heat gun
• stencils, stipple brush - Step 1
- Tear or cut all of the photocopies into the size needed for the canvas, removing any excess white. Arrange the pieces on the canvas moving them around until you are happy with the way they look and begin to glue them down using the clear sealer as the glue. Paint the sealer all over the top as well to ensue it has been stuck down securely. Do not attach the main image at this time.

- Step 2
- Palette some yellow light, green light, aqua, and pthalo green separately and add some clear sealer to create a glaze. Begin with the lightest colour and paint in a random fashion, the entire base does not need to be covered, and allow to dry or dry carefully with a heat gun. Continue with the other colours, leaving some of the colour underneath to show through. Allow time to dry in between colours or the colours could mix together.

- Step 3
- Start adding more photocopied images and scrunched up pieces of plain and printed tissue and paint, adding in the red violet and transparent magenta sparingly and only in select areas. The tissue will create some surface texture. Stencil designs onto the surface if desired with the warm white paint and allow to dry. Continue building the surface layers until you are finished.

- Handy Hint
- Dilute paint with medium rather than water to maintain colour integrity and quality.
