Final Result

Materials

• wire headband
• fine pink beading wire
• variety of small, medium & large pearl beads
• scissors

Step 1

Wind wire around entire length of headband.

Step 2

Cut a long length of wire and begin winding around headband again. Randomly attach beads to the wire as you go.

Step 3

To create the focal point, thread beads onto pieces of wire then fold the wire in half and twist. This will create the ‘stem’ on which your bead will sit. Continue to fold and twist the wire around the beads until you are happy with the combination. Alternatively, attach the stems by simply winding the wire around the headband, as before.

Choose bead and wire colours to complement your outfit.

Variations

Instead of a headband, try this technique using a hair comb as the base. Wind the wire around the comb from edge to edge then repeat steps 2 & 3.
