Final Result

Materials

Approx size: 92cm x 166cm

• 14 x 100g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Cardellino (1 ball each of 14 shades)
• 8.00mm Crochet hook
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• Tape measure

**Note - Each ball makes 2 closed granny squares

Step 1

Make 2 of each colour.

Rnd 1: Make 3ch, join with sl st in 1st ch to form ring, 5ch, work 3tr in ring,
*2ch, 3tr in ring, repeat from * twice, 2ch, 2tr in ring, join with sl st into top of 3-ch, sl st into 2-ch corner, (3 tr on each side).

Rnd 2: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * twice, 1tr in each tr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr, join with sl st into 3rd ch of 5-ch at beg, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (7 tr on each side).

Rnd 3: 3ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * twice, 1tr in each tr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr, join with sl st into top of 3-ch, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (11 tr on each side).

Rnd 4: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * twice, 1tr in each tr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr, join with sl st into 3rd ch of 5-ch at beg, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (15 tr on each side).

Rnd 5: 5ch, 2tr in same 2-ch cnr, * 1tr in each tr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * twice, 1tr in each tr, 1tr in 1st 2-ch cnr, join with sl st into 3rd ch of 5-ch at beg, sl st into 2-ch cnr, (19 tr on each side).

Rnd 6: 1ch, 3dc in same 2-ch cnr, * 1dc in each tr, 3dc in next 2-ch cnr, repeat from * twice, 1dc in each tr, join with sl st to 1st dc.

Fasten off and sew in both ends.

Step 2

MAKE UP
With right sides facing, sew squares together using a whip st along the seam picking up the outer loop of each dc row, using the tails of each square until you have them all joined.
