- Materials
- • cardstock or ready-made card
• dark coloured paper (black)
• patterned paper
• ribbon to complement patterned paper
• sewing machine
• white thread
• scissors
• glue stick
• circle punch - Step 1
- Cut cardstock 22cm x 16cm and fold in half (or use ready-made card). Draw an elephant shape and cut out of dark paper. Punch a hole for the eye. Stick the elephant onto the patterned paper. Cut around the elephant shape leaving 5mm of the patterned paper visible. Cut out an ear and attach to elephant.
- Step 2
- Cut a 7cm x 4cm strip of dark paper. Cut into the strip to create grass and stick onto card. Cut a 15cm length of ribbon and stick onto the card. Using a straight stitch sew a line across the top and bottom of ribbon.
- Step 3
- Stick the elephant onto the card positioning the trunk over the top of the last few blades of grass.
- Handy Hint
- Use old wrapping paper, shopping/gift bags, ribbon handles from shopping bags, etc.
