Step 1
Binding clips hold quilt binding firmly in place while stitching.
Step 2
Block viewer has a high quality optical lens so you can view an entire quilt from a single block in true colour.
Step 3
Tape measure with dual measurements 120” (1/8”) and 300cm (mm) in yellow with large easy to read numbers and metal tips at each end.
Step 4
Bicycle clips to clamp around the roll of batting and fabric to keep it from unrolling when hand quilting and machine quilting. Roll quilt in from sides and secure with clips to give access to work in centre of the quilt without the bulkiness.
Step 5
Quilters pins are long and fine and come with yellow or multi-coloured plastic or glass heads. Flat/flower head pins are easy to see and grasp, and they hold multiple layers of fabric and sit perfectly flat.
Step 6
Quilters marking pens & pencils are a must for accurate marking of seams and appliqué pieces. Iron-on transfer pens, water soluble markers, disappearing ink markers and transfer pencils all have a use. Pencils are available in white, silver and yellow and mark on any colour fabric.
Step 7
Curved safety pins are used to hold the quilt layers together when quilting. It is best to start pinning in the centre of your quilt moving out towards the edges to minimise the fabrics and layers shifting.
Step 8
Thimbles are available in a wide range of designs and sizes to protect fingers and thumbs from the point of the needle and also assist in pushing the needle through your quilt or for appliqué work on the quilt top.
