- Materials
- • 40m (1/2 pack) UNITRIM Knitlon Knitting Nylon
• 3m Eyelet Lace
• 1 pair 30cm x 4.00mm Knitting Needles
• 1 Knitters Needle
• 30cm x 6mm Krafty Savers Ribbon
• 1 Adult size Wooden Coat Hanger - Step 1
- Coat Hanger Cover
Cast on 68 stitches.
Knit 2 rows Garter (Plain) stitch.
* Knit 1 row adding Eyelet lace*.
To insert - Hold lace at back of work.
Insert the needle into the stitch and into hole in middle of lace.
Work as usual, repeat to end of row.
Knit 5 rows Garter stitch
Repeat Steps *2 to 3* x 2 more times. *(3 in total).
Knit 2 rows Garter stitch.
Cast off leaving a 30cm length for sewing. - Step 2
- To Make Up Coat Hanger
Remove the hook from hanger.
Mark centre with a pin.
Hold the casing onto coat hanger and using knitters needle sew together the underside edges. - Step 3
- Hook Cover
Cast on 20 stitches.
Knit 2 rows Garter stitch.
Knit 1 row adding lace.
(Insert in the same way as per coat hanger cover).
Knit 2 rows Garter stitch.
Cast Off. - Step 4
- To Make Up Hook Cover
Hold casing edges together and commence to sew using knitters needle.
Slip hook in and finish sewing.
Insert the hook into the hanger at centred pin mark.
Fasten off by sewing ends down to casing. - Step 5
- To Complete
Tie a length of 30cm x 6cm Krafty Savers Satin Ribbon around the base of the Hook.
Tie into a bow to finish. - Note
- 1 roll of UNITRIM Knitlon will cover 2 adult size coat hangers.
