- • 1 x 50g ball ‘Bella Baby’ Lullaby
• 1 pair 3.75mm knitting needles
• 1 pair 3.00mm knitting needles
• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure - Step 1
- LEFT HAND
Using 3.00mm needles cast on 39 sts, work 7cm of 1 x 1 rib as follows:
Row 1: (K1, P1) to last st, K1.
Row 2: (P1, K1) to last st, P1.
Change to 3.75mm needles, work 2 rows of stocking st, beg with a knit row.

Row 1: K17, M1, K1, M1, K1, knit to end, 19 sts.
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl.
Row 3: K17, M1, K2, M1, K1, knit to end, 21 sts.
Row 5: K17, M1, K4, M1, K1, knit to end, 23 sts.
Row 7: K17, M1, K6, M1, K1, knit to end, 25 sts.
Row 9: K17, M1, K8, M1, K1, knit to end, 27 sts.
Row 11: K17, M1, K12, M1, K1, K to end, 29 sts.
Row 13: K17, M1, K14, M1, turn.
Row 14: P16, turn.
Work 4 rows of stocking st on these 16 sts only. - Step 3
- Shape Top
Row 1: K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog, 14 sts.
Row 2 & 4: Purl
Row 3: As row 1, 12 sts.
Cut yarn leaving a 20cm tail. Thread through rem sts. - Step 4
- Hand
Rejoin yarn to rem 22 sts, knit to end, 39 sts.
Work a further 5 rows of stocking st, starting with a purl row. - Step 5
- Shape Hand
Row 1: K2tog, K16, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K16, K2tog, 35 sts.
Row 2, 4 & 6: Purl.
Row 3: K2tog, K14, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K14, K2tog, 31 sts.
Row 5: K2tog, K12, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K12, K2tog, 27 sts.
Cast off. - Step 6
- RIGHT HAND
Using 3.00mm needles cast on 39 sts, work 7cm of 1 x 1 rib as follows:
Row 1: (K1, P1) to last st, K1.
Row 2: (P1, K1) to last st, P1.
Change to 3.75mm needles, work 2 rows of stocking st, beg with a knit row. - Step 7

Row 1: Knit 22, M1, K1, M1, K1, knit to end, 19 sts.
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl.
Row 3: K22, M1, K2, M1, K1, knit to end, 21 sts.
Row 5: K22, M1, K4, M1, K1, knit to end, 23 sts.
Row 7: K22, M1, K6, M1, K1, knit to end, 25 sts.
Row 9: K22, M1, K8, M1, K1, knit to end, 27 sts.
Row 11: K22, M1, K12, M1, K1, knit to end, 29 sts.
Row 13: K22, M1, K14, M1, turn.
Row 14: P16, turn.
Work 4 rows of stocking st on these 16 sts only. - Step 8
- Shape Top
Row 1: K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, K2tog, 14 sts.
Row 2 & 4: Purl
Row 3: As row 1, 12 sts.
Cut yarn leaving a 20cm tail. Thread through rem sts.
Rejoin yarn to rem 17 sts, knit to end, 39 sts.
Work a further 5 rows of stocking st, starting with a purl row. - Step 9
- Shape Hand
Row 1: K2tog, K16, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K16, K2tog, 35 sts.
Row 2, 4 & 6: Purl.
Row 3: K2tog, K14, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K14, K2tog, 31 sts.
Row 5: K2tog, K12, sl 1, K2tog, psso, K12, K2tog, 27 sts.
Cast off. - Step 10
- FINISHING
Fold in half with right sides facing, tighten yarn through top of thumb, secure then
use to sew thumb.
Sew top and side, sew band, half way, turn to front and sew remaining for cuff.
Weave in loose ends. - Note
