To fit head (approx): 56cm - Final Result

- Materials
- 1 x ‘Moda Vera’ MarVel 8ply 100g balls
1 pair 4.00mm (UK 8) knitting needles
Yarn needle for finishing
3.50mm (UK 9) crochet hook for flower
Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles. Check your tension carefully. If less sts to 10cm use smaller needles, if more sts use bigger needles. - Step 1
- Headband
Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 25 sts.
1st row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. rep last row until work measures 46cm. Cast off. - Step 2
- Crochet Flower
Using 3.50mm hook, make 50ch.
1st row: Miss 3ch, 1dtr in next ch, 2dtr in each of next 19 ch, 2tr in each of next 20 ch, 2htr in each of next 4 ch, 2dc in each of next 3 ch. - Step 3
- 2nd row: 2ch, 3tr in first dc, 2ch, * sl st in each of next 2 sts, 2ch, 3tr in next st, 2ch, rep from * to end, sl st in same st as 3 tr. Fasten off.
- Step 4
- To Make Up
Using a flat seam, sew cast on and cast off ends of headband together. Fold side edges to centre and sew together for 7cm each side of seam. With joined side edges on the inside, make a pleat at the front and sew securely in position. arrange flower in a spi- ral and sew onto headband over pleat (as illustrated). - Note
- Use only the yarn specified. Other yarns are likely to produce different results. Quantities are approximate as they can vary between knitters. Check the ball bands to ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot.
