Tension
10 sts x 14 rows to 10cm over stocking st using 9.00mm needles.

Step 1

Stripe Pattern Sequence – from Start
Rows 1 to 8: Using MC, work 8 rows stocking st.
Front & Back only
Row 9: Change to C1, knit 1 row.
Row 10: Using C1, P4 (3, 5), (P1 C2, P8 C1) to last 6 (5, 7) sts, P1 C2, P5 (4, 6) C1.
Row 11: Using C1, K3 (2, 4), (K1 C3, K1 C2, K1 C3, K6 C1)
to last 7 (6, 8) sts, K1 C3, K1 C2, K1 C3, K4 (3, 5) C1.
Row 12: As Row 10.
Rows 13 & 14: Using C1, work 2 rows stocking st.
Sleeve only Rows 9 to 14: Using C1, work 6 rows stocking st.
Rows 15 & 16: Using C4, work 2 rows stocking st.

Back
Using MC cast on 47 (51, 55) sts, and commence stripe
pattern sequence, AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st each end
of every 10th row, until 41 (45, 49) sts rem.
Cont in sequence without shaping until work measures 36
(38, 40)cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Armhole Shaping
Cast off 2 sts at beg of the next 2 rows … 37 (41, 45) sts.
Next Row: Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll alt rows 3 more times … 31 (35, 37) sts. Cont in sequence without shaping until work measures 48 (52, 56)cm from beg, ending with a purl row.

Shape Shoulders
Cast off 3 (4, 4) sts at beg of next 4 rows.
Place rem 19 (19, 21) sts on a stitch holder.

Step 3

Left Front
Using MC cast on 24(26, 28) sts, and commence stripe pattern sequence, AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st at beg of every 10th row, until 21 (23, 25) sts rem.
Cont in sequence without shaping until work measures 36
(38, 40)cm from beg, ending with a purl row and the same
row in pattern sequence as back.

Armhole Shaping
Cast off 2 sts at beg of next row … 19 (21, 23) sts. Patt 1 row.
Next Row: Dec 1 st at beg of this and foll alt rows 3 more times … 15 (17, 19) sts.
Patt 1 row.

Neck Shaping
Dec 1 st at the end (neck edge) this row and every row
(neck edge only) until 6(8, 8) sts rem.

Shape Shoulders
Cast off 3 (4, 4) sts at beg of next row. Patt 1 row.

Step 4

Right Front
Using MC cast on 24 (26, 28) sts, and commence stripe
pattern sequence, AT THE SAME TIME, dec 1 st at the end of every 10th row, until 21 (23, 25) sts rem.
Cont in sequence without shaping until work measures 36
(38, 40)cm from beg ending with a purl row, and the same
row in pattern sequence as back.
Patt 1 more row.

Armhole Shaping
Cast off 2 sts at beg of next row … 19 (21, 23) sts.
Dec 1 st at beg of this and foll alt rows 3 more times …
15 (17, 19) sts.

Neck Shaping
Dec 1 st at beg(neck edge) this row and every row (neck edge
only) until 6 (8, 8) sts rem.

Step 5

Sleeves - make 2
Cast on 23 (23, 25) sts, commence stripe pattern sequence
from Row 17 (9, 1),
AT THE SAME TIME, inc 1 st at each end of every 8th (8th, 10th) row, until there are 29 (31, 33) sts.
Cont in sequence without shaping until work measures 24
(32, 40)cm from beg, ending with a purl row, and the same row in pattern sequence as back, before armhole shaping.

Armhole Shaping
Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows … 25 (27, 29) sts.
Next Row: Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll alt rows until
17 sts rem. Then every row until 7 sts rem.

Cast off.

Step 6

Collar
With right sides facing pin and sew shoulder seams together.
With right side facing and using MC, beg at right front, knit up
12 (14, 16) sts along front neck, knit 19 (19, 21) sts off back neck stitch holder, knit up 12 (14, 16) sts down left front …
42 (47, 53) sts.
Starting with a knit row, work 20cm stocking st.
Fold collar in half and graft last row, just below collar line to
conceal seam.

Step 7

Finishing
Pin and sew side and sleeve seams, set in sleeves.
Using crochet hook and C6, work 1 row of dc around edges of work, starting at a bottom hem seam line. Work 1dc in each st, sl st to finish round and fasten off. Repeat for sleeve hems.
Weave in loose ends.
