- 1 pair of 4.00mm knitting needles or the required size to give correct tension.
- 1 stitch-holder.
- 3 buttons.
- Yarn needle for sewing seams. - Step 1

Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 79 (83-89-95-101) sts.
1st row (wrong side): Knit.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: Knit.
Beg Patt 1st row: P1 (0-0-0-1), (TWL) 1 (0-0-0-1) times, P7 (1-4-7-7), * TWR, TWL, P7, rep from * to last 3 (5-8-0-3) sts, (TWR) 1 (1-1-0-1) times, (TWL) 0 (1-1-0-0) times, P1 (1-4-0-1).
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: P1 (0-0-0-1), (TWR) 1 (0-0-0-1) times, P7 (1-4-7-7), * TWL, TWR, P7, rep from * to last 3 (5-8-0-3) sts, (TWL) 1 (1-1-0-1) times, (TWR) 0 (1-1-0-0) times, P1 (1-4-0-1).
4th row: Purl. Last 4 rows form patt for Back.
Cont in patt until Back measures 17 (20-23-25-28) cm from beg, working last row on wrong side.
Shape Armholes Keeping patt correct, cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 75 (79-85- 91-97) sts. Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt row until 65 (67-71-75-79) sts rem. Work 39 (41-43-47-49) rows patt (without further dec).
Shape Shoulders Cast off 6 (6-6-7-7) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 5 (5-7-7-8) sts at beg of foll 2 rows. Leave rem 31 (33-33-33-35) sts on a stitch-holder for neckband. - Step 2

Using 4.00mm needles, cast on 40 (42-45-48-51) sts.
1st row (wrong side): Knit.
2nd row: Purl.
3rd row: Knit.

Shape Armhole
Keeping patt correct, cast off 2 sts at beg of next row ... 38 (40-43-46- 49) sts. Dec one st at beg (armhole edge) in every foll alt row until 33 (34-36- 38-40) sts rem. Work 24 (26-26-30-32) rows patt (without further dec).
Shape Neck
Cast off 8 sts at beg of next row ... 25 (26-28-30-32) sts. Dec one st at neck edge in every row until 22 (21-25-27-27) sts rem, then in every foll alt row until 17 (17-19-21-22) sts rem. Work 1 row.
Shape Shoulder
Cast off 6 (6-6-7-7) sts at beg of next row and foll alt row. Work 1 row. Cast off rem 5 (5-7-7-8) sts. - Step 3

Purl. Last 4 rows form patt for Sleeves.
Work a further 2 rows patt. Keeping patt correct and working extra sts into patt as they become available, inc one st at each end of next row, then in every foll 6th (6th- 8th-6th-6th) row until there are 43 (47-61-55-59) sts, then in every foll 8th (8th-10th-8th-8th) row until there are 59 (65-69-79-83) sts.

Shape Top
Keeping patt correct, cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows ... 55 (61-65- 75-79) sts.
Dec one st at each end of next row, then in every foll alt row until 45 (49-51-59-61) sts rem.
Work 1 row.
Cast off 6 (7-7-8-9) sts at beg of next 4 rows, then 6 (6-7-9-8) sts at beg of foll 2 rows.
Cast off rem 9 sts. - Step 5
- Neckband
Join shoulder seams. With right side facing, using 4.00mm needles, knit up 18 (18-19-19-19) sts evenly along right front neck shaping, knit across sts from back neck stitch-holder – dec 4 sts evenly across, then knit up 18 (18-19-19-19) sts evenly along left front neck shaping ... 63 (65-67-67-69) sts.
Knit 1 row.
Purl 1 row.
Cast off knitways. - Step 6
- Right Front Band
With right side facing and using 4.00mm needles, knit up 55 (63-70-79- 88) sts evenly along right front edge, incl side edge of neckband.
1st row (wrong side) – K2, * yfwd (to make a st), K2tog, K10 (13-15-17- 19), rep from * twice, knit to end ... 3 buttonholes.
Purl 1 row. Cast off knitways. - Step 7
- Left Front Band
Work as given for Right Front Band, omitting buttonholes. - Step 8
- To Make Up
DO NOT PRESS. Placing centre of sleeve to shoulder seam, sew in sleeves evenly. Join side and sleeve seams. Sew on buttons - Note
