Step 1
Cutting
All strips are cut across the width of fabric unless otherwise stated.

• From fabrics A, B, C and D cut 3 x 6½” strips, set aside one strip of each fabric for outer border, crosscut 2 strips of each fabric into 7 x 6½” squares; from the left over strips of fabrics B and D cut 4 x 4” squares for the corner blocks of the outer border.

• Fussy cut fabric E into 7 x 6½” squares.

• From fabric F cut 3 x 6½” strips, set aside one strip for outer border, crosscut 2 strips into 7 x 6½” squares; cut 6 x 2½” strips for inner border.

• From fabric G cut 3 x 6½” strips, set aside one strip for outer border, crosscut 2 strips into 7 x 6½” squares; cut 6 x 2” strips for middle border.
Step 2
Quilt top
Arrange the 6½” squares into 8 strips with 6 squares in each in a random fashion or as shown in diagram. Sew the squares together. Sew the 8 strips together matching the seams.
Step 3
Borders

Step 1 - Join the 4 fabric F strips together in pairs to make 2 long strips. With the join in the centre sew to each long side of the quilt top. Press seams towards border. Sew the remaining 2 strips to the top and bottom and press.

Step 2 - Repeat step 1 using the fabric G strips for the middle border.

Step 3 - For the outer border sew the remaining 6½” strips together lengthways, stitching alternate rows in the opposite direction to prevent the fabric distorting. Press and crosscut into 4” strips. Join 4 strips together in pairs to make 2 long strips. With the join in the centre sew to each long side of the quilt top. Press seams towards middle border. Centre 2 of the remaining strips along the top and bottom edges and pin the corner blocks in place onto the strips. Sew corner blocks to each end of the strips then sew strips to the top and bottom of quilt top.
Step 4
Finishing
Layer backing, batting and quilt top, baste together. Quilt in the ditch or as desired and bind. Sign and date your quilt or attach a label to the back.
Note
All fabrics should be 100% cotton, washed & pressed. ¼” seam allowance used throughout unless otherwise indicated. Read all instructions carefully before commencing the quilt.
